Site survey activity aiming to gather all elements useful to a suitable assessment of the expected production of the power plant (layout optimization margins, analysis of the monitoring level, territory roughness, etc.).
If in the relevant site there are more anemometric stations, a micrositing study is carried out in order to determine the contribution of the different stations in assessing the expected production (use of data of the most important and more lasting anemometric station of the site; partitioning of the layout in zones of influence of the stations; use of all the stations deemed efficient and definition of an average).

The activity consists in the final placement of the aero generators on the site. Such activity is preparatory to the power plantís project drafting, it contemplates the existence of a broad layout, of producibility assessments realized in advance, anticipated definition of exclusion areas, environmental screening which identifies possible inhibited areas to the facility, anticipated close examination of possible regional guide lines and the delimitation of optioned cadastral units.

It is the focus of the whole value chain, the one in which the project acquires definition, with all the its own distinctive features. A correct management of all the phases previously exposed gives rose to a linear and precise development of the layout, with an appropriate identification of the optimal trade off and a substantial balance within several planning needs. Attention to details as well as to all related technical aspects is a necessary tool to realize a really efficient project.

The relevant legislative framework along with all the remarkable evolutions which have affected it over the years, presents urgent regulations which require precise decoding. The authorization procedure, as it is defined in the legislative decree 387/2003, is just the starting point of a procedure involving several public institutions which gets through the interpenetration of diversified interests, relating to heterogeneous territorial realities which are differentiated according to the subject. An appropriate knowledge of the E.I.A. (Environmental Impact Assessment) procedure, the analysis of regional regulations, the correct interpretation of the national guidelines are the sine qua non conditions to obtain the relevant single authorization to build the facilities.

The realization of a power plant, to be carried out following the timing laid down in the regulations, gets through designing phases which provide: the management of the traffic system, of the MT/AT substation, the civil works, the cable ducts and the electricity network within the farm, of the compensation and mitigation measure as well as of the safety at work. Only after managing carefully each of the aspects pointed out, putting the facility into operation can follow the realization by connecting it to the national electricity network.

Once the power plant is connected to the national grid, the energy produced converges into the national electrical grid, contributing more and more significantly to the increasing demand for energy required by the international community, respecting the standards of Kyoto Protocol.
